No, it is not an actual bug that enjoys snacking on the thick coat of an equine. No, it is not a sports car that every horse person has got to have… It is the street term to describe the inexplicable unbelievably engaging need to be surrounded by horses.
To have your life turned upside down, inside out and left side right by a horse whose main vocation seems to poop ten times a day, stomp on your feet and hijack your bank balance.
The horse bug is why the horse industry is so big. The fart machines are supplemented with beautiful graceful bodies and big wide trusting eyes. Anyone, may they be 5 or 50, cannot say no when a horse decides to bat those lashes.
